
Artist Biography
Lucie was born and raised in the small theatre town of Stratford, Ontario.
She graduated with a BA Hons in English and Spanish Literature from Trent University with one year at the Universidad de Granada in Spain.
She started painting the Western Canadian landscape while living in Banff National Park. As a self-taught artist, she developed a unique and colourful painting style, which she used to portray her connection to the mountain environment.
Lucie moved to Canmore and started exploring other artistic medias through many intensive workshops including a creativity workshop in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and a welding workshop at the Summer Series at Red Deer College.
Her interest in art continues and she is currently pursuing a BFA through the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD). She is enjoying integrating her life experience and interest in nature with research and academics. Her most recent passions include printmaking and mixed-media.
Lucie’s artwork can be found in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.
